United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan

The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) is a prestigious semester-long exchange initiative funded by the U.S. Department of State, offering undergraduate students the chance to study in the United States. Designed to promote cultural understanding and academic excellence, UGRAD provides students from over 60 countries with a fully-funded opportunity to experience American higher education, share their culture, and develop leadership skills.
Selected participants are placed in U.S. universities and colleges for a semester, where they engage in coursework related to their academic fields, participate in community service projects, and experience American culture firsthand. The program covers all expenses, including tuition, travel, housing, and a living stipend, ensuring accessibility for students regardless of financial background.
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program in their home country, demonstrate leadership potential, and have a strong academic record. Proficiency in English is also required, as courses are conducted in English. Upon completion, participants return to their home countries, equipped with new skills, perspectives, and a global network to contribute positively to their communities.
Applications typically open annually, and students are encouraged to prepare early. For more details, visit the official UGRAD website or contact the U.S. Embassy in your country.
