Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS) Program 2025-26

Fully Funded International PhD Scholarships

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) invites applications from talented Pakistani students for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS) Program. This is a fully funded opportunity for the 2025-26 academic intake in some of the world’s top 50 QS-ranked universities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Admission Requirement: A valid PhD admission offer from a university ranked in the current QS Top 50 (subject-wise) in selected fields.
• Academic Performance: At least 60% marks throughout the academic career.
• Family Income: Monthly family income (including self, spouse, and parents) must not exceed Rs. 200,000/-.
• Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years as of April 30, 2025.
• Scholarship History: Candidates who have not availed any foreign scholarship in the past.

The scholarship covers PhD studies in the following fields:

1. Life Sciences & Medicine
2. Engineering & Technology
3. Natural Sciences
4. Social Sciences & Humanities/Arts

Quota Details

• Preference is given to students with Punjab domicile.
• Special quotas are reserved for other regions, including:
  • Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)
  • Gilgit Baltistan (GB)
  • Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)

Application Process

1. Step 1: Secure admission in one of the QS Top 50 (subject-wise) universities.
2. Step 2: Download the scholarship application form from the PEEF website.
3. Step 3: Submit the filled application form along with required documents to the PEEF office by April 30, 2025.

Important Notes

• Selected candidates cannot defer the scholarship to the next year.
• Ineligible Applicants: Permanent/regular faculty members of public-sector institutions in Pakistan.
• Securing university admission and applying for a visa is the applicant’s responsibility.
• PEEF reserves the right to reject any application or cancel the selection process without explanation.
• Decisions made by the CMMS Selection Committee are final.

This fully funded scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs associated with studying abroad.
