Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Peshawar is now open for admissions for the 2025 academic session. The university offers a range of medical programs, including MBBS and other allied health sciences degrees. KMU has been central to admissions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for public and private medical and dental colleges, consolidating the admission process for students in the region.
For prospective medical students, the admissions require passing the National MDCAT exam, which is mandatory for entry into the medical program. The university uses a centralized admission system, where students can apply through the online portal. This system allows candidates to select their preferred colleges, with final placement based on merit and preferences.
KMU also provides scholarships, financial aid, and merit awards to support academically deserving and financially needy students. Scholarships are available through both university and government schemes, including the Prime Minister’s Tuition Fee Reimbursement Scheme and USAID Need-Based Scholarships
