Admission Open for First Year MBBS/BDS – NUMS Public Sector (Army Medical College, Rawalpindi) Session 2023-24

National Univeristy of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has announced the MBBS and BDS Admissions for session 2023-2024

1. Eligibility Criteria

o Open Merit Seats:

Eligibility Criteria:

a. Pakistani citizens (Including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan) can apply for admission in Army Medical College, Rawalpindi.

b. Passing MDCAT (NUMS)-2023 (Held on Sunday, 03 September 2023) is mandatory. Pass percentage of MDCAT for NUMS is 55% for admission in MBBS Program and 50% for BDS Program.

c. Minimum 60% aggregate marks in FSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent having minimum twelve years of education in at least three subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics.

o Foreign Seats: (NUMS MBBS Admission 2023)

Foreign Student is a student who holds foreign/dual nationality or is an overseas Pakistani and who has studied and passed HSSC 12th grade examination or equivalent from outside Pakistan and possess a certificate from the institution last attended to this effect.

Note: Provided that the mandatory requirement of MDCAT shall not apply to students seeking admission on a special program seat predefined exclusively for foreign students and on the seats reserved for overseas Pakistanis. Such students shall qualify foreign MCAT examination or UCAT examination with 50% marks in each subject.

2. Merit Determination and Admission Schedule

a. Eligibility criteria for Admission in Army Medical College for Foreign Candidates against foreign seat, is the same as mentioned above in para 1(c).

Weightage Formula for Admission

a. Entrance Test (MDCAT (NUMS) 2023/MCAT/UCAT), where applicable 50%

b. HSSC/F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/Equivalent 40%

c. SSC/Matric/ Equivalent 10%

3. How to Apply

The candidates are required to visit NUMS Website, www.numspak.edu.pk and apply online.

IMPORTANT

a. Possession of CNIC is mandatory for students aged 18 and above at the time of admission.

b. Candidates having foreign qualifications, such as O/A Level etc. shall have to upload the equivalence certificate issued by IBCC at the time of submission of online application, otherwise their application shall be rejected.

c. It shall be the sole responsibility of the candidate to submit complete application along with the required documents. Application once submitted, cannot be changed by the applicant. Candidates are advised to be careful while filling the Online Application Form. In case of any deficiency, the University may reject the application without intimation to the candidate.

d. The university shall cancel any provisional admission where the credentials of a student are not verified e. Applications shall be submitted through online portal only. Hard copies are not acceptable.

f. Applicants will be required to visit nearest branch of Habib bank Ltd (countrywide) to deposit Application Processing Fee @ Rs 5,000 (For Open Merit Seat)/Rs. 30,000 (For Foreign Seat) Non- refundable/Non-transferable latest by Friday, 20 October 2023 by 1600 hours.

g. Those candidates applying as Paying Cadets to W & R Dte, GHQ, must apply online for NUMS Public Sector (Army Medical College) on Open Merit Seat.

h. Matric/SSC/O-Level/10th Grade and FSC/HSSC/A-Level/12th Grade Certificate must be IBCC

issued/attested.

1. Applications for improved results of FSC/HSSC/A-Level/12th Grade will be entertained till 10 November 2023 only.
